This contest is only open to individuals who are legal residents of the contiguous 48 states of the U.S. and the District of Columbia (excluding HI, AK, and Puerto Rico) and 18 years of age or older. Between one and ten video submissions per artist will be accepted. Your submission MUST be a video of you playing one of the 10 John Petrucci riffs listed in the program. Watch and learn from John Petrucci as he demonstrates 10 new riffs from his album The Astonishing. Create a video of you playing one of his new riffs. The video must first be uploaded onto YouTube. Once you have created and uploaded the video onto YouTube, simply copy the video's URL, log in to your Match The Master account and paste the URL into your channel's playlist. You can create a video for each riff.
Get as many people as you can, your family, your friends, the people you work with... Get everyone to watch, follow and share your channel. Share it on Facebook, Reddit, Twitter and all the other provided social networks by clicking SHARE on your Match The Master channel to promote it! While not the only thing that matters, views, follows and shares will increase your contest rank and help get you noticed, points are not the only thing that count! The top 25 weekly performances will be evaluated by John Petrucci and the Ernie Ball Judging Panel. Videos will be judged on the following criteria: accuracy, authenticity, technique, and style.
